Welcome Adam Buffington, Dive Supervisor

Morrison welcomes 20 year veteran, Adam Buffington, to our team as Dive Supervisor.

Adam took a few minutes to share with us a few interesting facts about his road from tender to supervisor.

Q: How long have you been in the industry? 

A: I am going on 20 years.

Q: How long have you been a diver? 

A: I was a tender and diver for approximately 7 years and have been a Supervisor/ Superintendent for approximately 13 years

Q: What is your favorite part about being a diver? 

A: I really like the camaraderie and friendships you develop with a team of guys/girls that you work closely with, in sometimes tight quarters, for weeks and months at a time. They become a part of your extended family. You get to witness, and sometimes take part in, their individual successes and the success of the team overall.

Q: What has been the highlight of your career so far? 

A: I would have to say reaching a point in my career where I can help the offshore hands get the things they need and help guide them into new processes and policies that will directly impact their success in a positive way. I enjoy being the go-between and bridge between offshore and shore-base management.

Q: You just recently joined the Chet Morrison Contractors team.  Why is Chet Morrison Contractors a good fit for you and your career? 

A: I feel that Morrison is going to the next level, transitioning from industry participant to industry leader. I feel that I’m actually wanted here at Morrison and not viewed as a number but more as an investment in taking this awesome company farther than it’s ever been.

Q: Why should a young diver consider a career with Chet Morrison Contractors? 

A: Along with very competitive pay and great benefits, there is a lot of room for growth within the company as we believe in promoting from within and seeing our tenders break out to divers and eventually to dive supervisors. I also truly believe that our management is 100% dedicated to doing things the right way without comprise to safety and quality of life offshore.
